Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why should I choose natural stone for my home or business?

Hard, dense natural stone, available in a variety of colors and surface finishes, stands up to weather and resists erosion in outdoor applications and enhances beauty and function in multiple indoor applications.

  • What types of stone does Silver Arrow work with?

The beauty, variety and durability of natural stone are unmatched by any man-made synthetic.  We can provide dense sandstone, basalt and limestone in a variety of colors and surface finishes, for structural/architectural and decorative purposes, outdoors or indoors.

  • GlowStone®, NightBright & StarLight

GlowStone®, NightBright & StarLight are our newest products, consisting of non-toxic, non-radioactive glow-in-the -dark basalt and pink limestone.  We manufacture these products in different forms and surfaces for multiple applications, indoors and outdoors, for example kitchen tiles, pool surrounds, walkways, fountains and small decorative pieces.  The surfaces vary from textured to smooth to polished depending on the application and end user preference.  Examples illustrated in the Our Products section are a GlowStone® fountain and GlowStone® “BedBugs”.

The GlowStone® fountain is charged by natural sunlight outdoors during daylight hours and glows after dark.  Similarly, Arnold and Karen GlowStone® BedBugs will glow in the dark for 8 to 12 hours when exposed indoors to natural sunlight on a window sill (the glow time depending on the length of exposure to sunlight and whether the sunlight exposure is direct or indirect).

Our BedBugs allegedly protect against actual infestation of biological bedbugs, especially when employed in teams of two, Arnold GlowStone® BedBug and Karen GlowStone® BedBug (based on a recent ANonnyMouse report in the Journal of Irreproducible Results).  So, “sleep tight and don’t let the bedbugs bite!”

  • Regarding Stone Arches

In the Arches & Columns section of Our Products there is a photo of a bank building with a distinctive stone arch.  A master craftsman created this beautiful stone arch in 1891.  The engineering of stone arches hasn’t changed since Roman times and before, but now with modern machinery, the pieces can be prefabricated to precise specifications in our shop and then rapidly assembled on site.
